Real Food Day 7

Well we have made it our first week on 100% Real Food! Hooray!!

Just to recap - as a family we are having zero refined sugars, zero processed foods and only 100% whole grains such as stone ground whole wheat and quinoa.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this first week has been - Personally I have lost 8 lbs and am feeling energetic, positive, and am thinking much clearer.  My skin has cleared up immensly and I no longer have to wear foundation.

The boys (3 and 5 yrs) have had a few days where I am sure they were going through sugar withdrawal because let me tell you - things were not pretty..  They were flying off the handle and crying at every little instance and getting angry with things that they normally would not have even noticed.. On day five though things started to even out and I have noticed they have more energy as well (which is a bit of a scary thing!)

The boys ask for fruit or our home-made granola for snacks.. They are excited with veggie plates and have been helping to pick out fruits at the market.

My dear husband is doing great considering he is a truck driver and delivers McDonalds foods all over the province. He has been eating right along with us and is enjoying the home made bread and the beginning results of a very happy family.

I would like to share with you some of the wonderful Real food we have been eating this week and will be posting recipes this week to link up to them - so make sure to subscribe or follow along on facebook to be notified up updates! In addition to the pics below some new foods  we also tried were:
